Oneonta defeats Medina (S6) 2-1 in the NYS Class-B Baseball Regional Round at Frontier HS in WNY. The Jackets are headed to the NYS Final Four on 6/13 at 7 PM at Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton. They will face Putnam Valley from S1. Pitcher Nolan Stark makes a great play to pick-off a runner at 1st to seal the victory for OHS. Nolan goes 7 strong innings in a 4-hitter with 4 Ks. He also adds 1 run at the plate. Brady Carr is the hero with a 2-run HR over the fence in left center at the 330 mark on the wall. Bruce Mistler and Jameson Brown both nail doubles. Andrew Brechner adds 1 hit.
1-Oneonta defeats 3-Lansing 2-1 to win the 2025 S4 Class-B Baseball Championship at Sus Valley HS. 2nd straight S4 title for the Jackets and their 7th in program history. Oneonta heads to the state tournament next. They will play again on 6/7 in Western NY. They await the winner of Wellsville (S5) and Medina (S6). The game location for 6/7 depends on who wins that other game. Wellsville vs Medina will be played on 6/5 in Batavia. 10 team hits on the day for OHS against Lansing. Elmira Notre Dame defeats Schenevus 20-14 to win the 2025 S4 Class-D Baseball Championship. First sectional title since 1998 for END. One of the wildest games I’ve seen in person! END scores 11 runs in the top of the 7th inning to erase a deficit and then pull away. Tough one for the Dragons. Austin Tilley leads SCS with 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Cody Keator scores 3 runs and Ryan Spranger chips in 2 runs. Owen Green, Sawyer Bridger and Orrin Clements all finish with 2 RBIs. Tim Green scores 2 runs and smashes 1 triple. A fantastic season comes to a close for SCS.

3-South Kortright/Andes falls to 2-Elmira Notre Dame 8-7 in 8 innings in the S4 Class-D Baseball Semis on the road. END will face Schenevus in the final on 5/30. The Rams trailed 4-0 late but rallied to score 7 runs in the top of the 7th to grab a lead. END battles back to take it in the bottom of the 8th. Logan Reinshagen pitches 6 strong innings with 9 Ks. Anthony Martinez nails 2 hits and Cole Thomas adds 1 hit, 1 run and 1 RBI.
