Deposit-Hancock defeats Bishop Grimes (S3) 4-3 in the NYS Class-C Baseball Regional Round. The Eagles are headed to the NYS Final Four on 6/13 at 7 PM at Union-Endicott HS. They will face Gowanda from S6. Blake Fortunato saves the day with a 2-run HR for the Eagles. He also gets the save on the hill. Connor Mills chips in 2 hits, 1 double and 2 runs. Tyler Persbacker drives in 2 RBIs. Lucas Barnes cracks 2 hits. Noah Bass goes for 1 hit and 1 run. Tyler Reis smashes 1 hit.
Oneonta defeats Medina (S6) 2-1 in the NYS Class-B Baseball Regional Round at Frontier HS in WNY. The Jackets are headed to the NYS Final Four on 6/13 at 7 PM at Mirabito Stadium in Binghamton. They will face Putnam Valley from S1. Pitcher Nolan Stark makes a great play to pick-off a runner at 1st to seal the victory for OHS. Nolan goes 7 strong innings in a 4-hitter with 4 Ks. He also adds 1 run at the plate. Brady Carr is the hero with a 2-run HR over the fence in left center at the 330 mark on the wall. Bruce Mistler and Jameson Brown both nail doubles. Andrew Brechner adds 1 hit.
1-Oneonta defeats 3-Lansing 2-1 to win the 2025 S4 Class-B Baseball Championship at Sus Valley HS. 2nd straight S4 title for the Jackets and their 7th in program history. Oneonta heads to the state tournament next. They will play again on 6/7 in Western NY. They await the winner of Wellsville (S5) and Medina (S6). The game location for 6/7 depends on who wins that other game. Wellsville vs Medina will be played on 6/5 in Batavia. 10 team hits on the day for OHS against Lansing. Nolan Stark tosses a 3-hitter on the hill with 7 Ks. He also cracks 1 triple at the plate. Brady Carr finishes with 3 hits. Bruce Mistler adds 1 double and 1 run. Grayson Brockington nails 1 double. Elmira Notre Dame defeats Schenevus 20-14 to win the 2025 S4 Class-D Baseball Championship. First sectional title since 1998 for END. One of the wildest games I’ve seen in person! END scores 11 runs in the top of the 7th inning to erase a deficit and then pull away. Tough one for the Dragons. Austin Tilley leads SCS with 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Cody Keator scores 3 runs and Ryan Spranger chips in 2 runs. Owen Green, Sawyer Bridger and Orrin Clements all finish with 2 RBIs. Tim Green scores 2 runs and smashes 1 triple. A fantastic season comes to a close for SCS.
2-Deposit-Hancock beats 1-Trumansburg 11-3 to win the 2025 S4 Class-C Baseball Championship. 4th in a row for the Eagles (3 in D, 1st in C). D-H has won 6 S4 titles in the last 8 years (not including COVID). D-H will play the S3 champ on 6/7 at Conlon Field in Binghamton at 1 PM. Blake Fortunato grabs the pitching win with 7 strikeouts in a full game performance. Jacoby Mapes and Lucas Barnes both finish with 2 RBIs. Brody Matthews scores 2 runs. Tyler Persbacker adds 2 hits and 2 runs. Ty Rynearson chips in 2 hits and 2 RBIs.
3-South Kortright/Andes falls to 2-Elmira Notre Dame 8-7 in 8 innings in the S4 Class-D Baseball Semis on the road. END will face Schenevus in the final on 5/30. The Rams trailed 4-0 late but rallied to score 7 runs in the top of the 7th to grab a lead. END battles back to take it in the bottom of the 8th. Logan Reinshagen pitches 6 strong innings with 9 Ks. Anthony Martinez nails 2 hits and Cole Thomas adds 1 hit, 1 run and 1 RBI.
Edmeston/Morris falls to Hamilton (S3) 13-0 in the NYS Class-D Softball Regional Round at Greenlight Park in Binghamton. A magical season comes to a close for E/M. Trinitie Barker, Harper Folts and Abby O'Brien all collect 1 hit each in the loss.

Olivia Johnston cracks 1 hit and Pagen Macumber scores 1 run. Amanda Ray drives in 1 RBI and Victoria Green nails 1 hit.
6-Edmeston/Morris defeats 8-Laurens/Milford 14-9 to win the 2025 S4 Class-D Softball Championship at Greenlight Park. First S4 title for E/M as a combined program. It’s Edmeston’s 4th title in school history and first since 1984. First one in school history for Morris. E/M will be back at Greenlight on 6/5 at 5 PM for the NYS Regionals against S3. Hannah Wist gets the pitching victory with 6 Ks. She also stacks up 3 hits, 3 runs and 2 RBIs at the plate. Harper Folts goes for 3 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBIs. Abby O'Brien drives in 3 RBIs and Kenna Buriello smashes 3 hits. Chelsey Clegg adds 2 hits and Trinitie Barker scores 3 runs. Bella Garlick paces L/M with 3 hits, 2 doubles and 3 runs. Brooke Mann totals 2 runs and 2 RBIs. Alyssa Stevens sends home 2 RBIs.

Lexi Sutphin finishes with 2 hits including 1 triple for L/M. Alyssa Stevens adds 2 hits and Bella Garlick drives in 2 RBIs. Bailey Hughes and Olivia Ross pace GCR with 2 each hits. Hard fought game by both sides!

Hannah Wist earns the pitching win and blasts 3 doubles at the plate. She finishes with 4 hits, 3 runs and 2 RBIs. Harper Folts cracks 2 hits. Sophie Robinson and Chelsey Clegg score 2 runs each. Brin Whiteman and Sara Cortese record 2 hits each in the loss. River Beauregard connects for 1 double.
Walton/Delhi beats Deposit-Hancock 48-27 at home in S4 dual action. Walton/Delhi earns 5 pins on the day. Kamrin Stanton earns a big pin at 215 for WDA. Nick Caiati gets a pin at 189 for the Eagles.
Greene/Oxford defeats Sidney 51-24 on the road. The highlight was two Clyde Cole champs going toe-to-toe tonight at 189. Trevor Harrington (Sidney) bumps up from 172 to battle (Greene). Hunter gets the pin in the 3rd after an excellent match!
